Halal Dairy

We ran 539 dairy through our halal rules: 24 pass, 12 need a label check, and 18 don't make it.

Cheese is the hard case: the rennet that sets it can be animal or microbial, and packs rarely say which. Add gelatin in some yogurts and desserts, and uncertain becomes the honest default here. Products made with microbial rennet, and certified lines, are what passes.

Check the label first

For these, the data is incomplete or an ingredient can go either way. We say so instead of guessing. Tap one to see exactly what's unclear.

Verdicts are automated checks based on Open Food Facts data. Formulations change, so always confirm on the physical label.
