Vegan Sodas

We ran 378 sodas through our vegan rules: 24 pass, 12 need a label check, and 29 don't make it.

Nearly everything carbonated passes. The short list of exceptions: drinks coloured with E120, which is made from insects, honey-sweetened blends, and a few vitamin drinks fortified with animal-sourced D3. If a red drink sits in the uncertain column, the dye is usually why.

Check the label first

For these, the data is incomplete or an ingredient can go either way. We say so instead of guessing. Tap one to see exactly what's unclear.

Verdicts are automated checks based on Open Food Facts data. Formulations change, so always confirm on the physical label.
