Vegan Cereal

We ran 987 cereal through our vegan rules: 24 pass, 12 need a label check, and 333 don't make it.

Oats and corn are fine; the add-ons are not. Honey coatings, milk powder in clusters, gelatin in frosted pieces and D3 fortification are the four regular blockers. Plainer cereals pass in numbers; the decorated ones need their labels read twice.

Check the label first

For these, the data is incomplete or an ingredient can go either way. We say so instead of guessing. Tap one to see exactly what's unclear.

Verdicts are automated checks based on Open Food Facts data. Formulations change, so always confirm on the physical label.
